Sr. Backend Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking a Senior Backend Engineer to join our engineering team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing and developing robust, scalable backend services that power our data and analytics solutions. You will work closely with frontend developers, data engineers, and product managers to deliver high-quality software.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services and APIs
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and implement new features
• Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code
• Implement security and data protection measures
• Optimize application performance and scalability
• Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues
• Mentor junior developers and promote best practices

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in backend development
• Strong proficiency in at least one backend language (Node.js, Python, Java, C#)
• Experience with RESTful APIs and microservices architecture
• Knowledge of database technologies (SQL and NoSQL)
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
• Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field

Preferred Skills

• Experience with data processing and analytics platforms
• Knowledge of containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Experience with message brokers (Kafka, RabbitMQ)
• Familiarity with GraphQL
• Experience with real-time data processing
• Knowledge of security best practices and authentication protocols
